It's Planner Time

How did you do with your goals last week?
I am pretty happy with mine, I accomplished most of them.
It would be easy to become discouraged because I didn't accomplish all that I set out to do last week.

However, I love that with each new week we have that chance to just breathe, take a step back and set new goals.  Of course as always, it is important to write them down.
So here we go, onto another week.

I need to fill up my February calendar with bookings as I have a few spots left.
I am also working on sharing this amazing opportunity with as many people as I can.
Dream like there are no impossibilites - love that quote from a Unity Stamp (Smile in your dreams).
I also plan on being brave and constantly stepping out of my comfort zone.
I need to do 2 things this week that make me feel unfortable.... what will they be?
Most likely using the phone more...what is the other, not sure yet!

Of course it is always important to smile :)

...and laugh.
So I have reminders for that.
Don't you love that Angie Girl (Erica Girl)

Have a great week!

My Pretty Planner and a bit about goal setting

I am back with my next week's planner pages.
It is so satisfying to have those things written down and then be able to check them off.

Do you write out your goals?
No matter how big or small they are?
If you don't write them out.... how do you know if you have achieved them?

This is going to be a busy week for me!

Once again, I inked up some of my stamps.
I love the Angie Girls by Unity Stamp Company.
This one is the Bernadette Girl and she comes with the perfect quote.
I cut the sentiment with my Silhouette.

I love the little 'Is it Friday yet?' sentiment so I had to incorporate it.
Those tea stains.... well just a stamp :) from the

I like to add a bit of color and using some scraps of my pattern paper is perfect.
I just cut them to size and fit them into the boxes.

Pretty My Planner

Welcome to the first official post of...

 Pretty My Planner

Because each flip of the page we begin a new week.
This will be a weekly series!
As I said in an earlier post, I am a planner addict.
Love my planner.
Couldn't live without it.
This year I am going to be combining my planner addiction with my love for crafting.
Nothing better than looking at a pretty planner to help keep you on track with your goals :)

Working full time, keeping up a house, running my Jamberry business and spending lots of time with family (of course that includes my cutie pie granddaughter!) requires me to keep on task and stay focused.

This year I will be doing it in a way that makes me happy.
A pretty planner.
Making good use of my stamps, stickers, punches, dies, scrapbooking paper, washi tape....
anything and everything that inspires me.

By the way, I love that 'She' quote and it is one of several in the

I also love this girl stamp - most girl stamps have long hair...
love that she has short hair.
That sentiment... well it sold the stamp set for me :)
It is available from Altnew (Thoughts and Reminders)

The other stamps are from such companies as Technique Tuesday, Hero Arts, Stamplorations...
many of these are available at Simon Says Stamp - just search Planner stamps and you will see several!

Each week I will highlight some of my products.
And each week I do plan on including quotes, tea cups, girl stamps....all things that are 'ME'

note: it is important to set goals and since I created these pages Saturday night, I decided to leave the filling in part of the goals until Sunday morning as I am much more focused in the mornings :)

One way to incorporate the nutritious avocado into your diet

I have a nutrition background so I know that avocados are good for you.

 I really do.

Trouble is, I am not a fan of them.

So yes I do know that avocados should be part of my regular diet.

Well let me share the recipe I tried and actually liked - I may even add more avocados next time :) When I cook, I like to incorporate as many healthy things as I can - especially veggies... they are not something I readily reach for when snacking so I try to sneak them in whenever possible.

For this recipe, I have mixed refried beans, spinach, pepper, avocado and chicken breast for a power packed meal.  Even better is that when cooled I wrap each section up and store in an air tight container in freezer - perfect for a quick snack or lunch!

For the complete recipe, click on the photo.

If you have any avocado recipes I would love to see them!
