Macaron Monday - how are you inspired? come play along...

Ok... so I am tired of rain.  Boy have we had our share this month.  So I am trying a different approach today.... let's brighten things up and see what happens ;)

Can you believe it.... I scrapped!  I do love to scrapbook... just limited time for crafting so cards fit in best :)  I am going to try to make Sunday morning my scrappy Sunday but we shall see about that.

Anyways, the inspiration photo reminded me of these fun photos I have of my grand daughter from last year's visit to Butterfly World.  She loved it.  She desperately wanted to pet a butterfly.  The papers from the Crate Paper Open Book collection were perfect.
I fussy cut all of the rose clusters and the little sayings scattered here and there, from one of the pattern papers.  The title is cut using a Silhouette cut.

I also added a stamped background using a Unity butterfly stamp and the ink splatters are from the Gorgeous Grunge set by Stampin' UP! - which is retiring so be sure to nab it! I then added a couple of vellum butterflies.

Of course nothing is complete (in my book) without some stitching :)

  1. I can't think of a better time than watching a little one become enamored with butterflies! What a fantastic layout. The papers and flowers are so pretty. I adore the vellum butterflies and how stitched them onto the layout. I would not be that brave. Wonderful work!
