Trending Tuesday

I really am a sucker for florals.  I love flowers!  My favorites tend to be more of the country/romantic ones... you know lilac, tulips, hydrangea and roses... but really I do just love flowers.

Check out this Botanical Trend.  What do you think?  Yay or Nay? (click on photo for source)

Of course, Jamberry is right on trend... I just may have a couple of these in my stash ;)

Macaron Monday

Welcome back to another Macaron Monday.  Today I am sharing some gorgeous lilac hued macarons.  Makes me think of my lilac bushes and I can't wait for them to be in bloom.

Once again, I am sharing the card that I was inspired to create.  I used some older My Mind's Eye papers (Jubilee) and fussy cut the flowers out which of course is made easier with the CTMH Micro Tip Scissors.  To create the frame I used the Basic Rectangle die by Simon Says.

I then mounted the cup of flowers on foam squares for some dimension.  The word because is a die from My Favorite Things.

I am playing along with the:

As always, I must share some products that fit well with the theme.  The Dancing Lilac wrap is one of my favorites and I can not wait to wear it again.  It looks so pretty on it's own, but equally as pretty layered.

Did the photo inspire you?  I would love to see your creation based on the Macaron Monday photo.  Please link up below:

Dixie Belle Chalk Painted Reclaimed Wooden Signs

Today I am sharing some reclaimed wood projects that I created.  I LOVE to upcycle and I LOVE using reclaimed wood.  There is something about the character that old wood has that just makes my heart happy.

First up... I was very honored to receive some samples of Dixie Belle Paint to play with.  Have you used Dixie Belle Paint?  If not you need to!  Such gorgeous colors and it is so EASY to use!

I think I was a farm girl in my former life, I love everything old and shabby.  My husband on the other hand just thinks it looks old and much prefers new and modern.  Our first house was a little old house that I made into a shabby chic cottage feel.  Our current home, well, I did more modern... but since it has been about 13 years... I'm slowly sneaking in some old, vintage feeling items... so far... so good ;)

I found an old crate at a garage sale and scooped it up right away as it was painted gray but was old and naturally distressed.  When I got it home I realized that it was not secure enough to be used as a crate so I took it apart and sanded down the pieces.  Then I went to work with some Dixie Belle Paint - Fluff and stencilled some lettering using stencils from Funky Junk Interiors.

It was a very quick and easy project and I love how it turned out.

Now as I was laying looking at my new signs... I started planning my next project to fill the wall space so stay tuned ;)  By the way... another thing that makes my heart happy is that little tricycle peeking out... our grand daughter spends a lot of time here and she loves to ride that around our house :)

Thursday's Tip

Wondering... do you get pedicures done?  Do you go to a salon or do you do them yourself?

If you are on a budget did you know you can give yourself amazing pedicures at home?  Jamberry has come out with a fabulous new Pedicure pack and I tried it for the first time yesterday.... my feet feel amazing!

Side note here... that bag, the one that the lotions and soak come in... it not only looks chic... it feels so expensive :)  so soft and supple like a soft leather.

I moisturize my feet every night (actually apply lotion and some essential oils... which allow me to have amazingly great sleep!), so my feet are not really that rough, but I used the NEW Stainless Steel Pedicure File and it is amazing how much skin came off....

Specifically made to assist you in the perfect pedicure, our double sided Stainless Steel Pedicure File gently files away rough, dry skin and leaves your feet looking soft and smooth.
Next up, should you decide to do your own manis and pedis this tool, The Cuticle Groomer... will become one of your favorite tools.  Scrape away invisible cuticle, clean under and around nails with ease.  Definitely recommend this!

This dual-ended Metal Cuticle Groomer gently removes excess and invisible cuticles to achieve salon-style manicures in minutes.

Finally, I mentioned that I use a lotion on my feet every night.  I used to use our Nourish lotion but now I am using the NEW Soothe.

'Soothe' is packed with ingredients to moisturize and protect your skin including Shea Butter, Coconut oil, and Argan oil. Peppermint works to cool and relax tired feet, leaving them feeling fresh, hydrated and energized.

Now here is my tip... if you have made it this far :)

Having gorgeous, soft feet can be expensive if you have to go to the salon all of the time.  I love that with these products I can give myself a a salon quality pedicure anytime I want AND I don't always change the color of my lacquer... sometimes I just want the pampering!

What about you?  Wouldn't you love to have soft beautiful feet all of the time?

Macaron Monday

Once again, I was inspired by some pretty macarons.  Be sure to click on photos for more information :)

I can't wait to get out into my garden and decided to create a spring theme card.  The paper is a retired paper by Chickaniddy Crafts.  I used my Cricut to cut out the hat.  I then accented with some retired Technique Tuesday stamps and a sticker from SRM Stickers.
As always... the addition of twine, stitching and staples :) The hat is mounted on foam tape for dimension.

Now with spring... comes sandals.  I love my boots but do look forward to being able to wear sandals.  Which of course leads to this... are your feet pedi ready?  Did you know that Jamberry has come out with some amazing new pedicure products?!  Give yourself professional quality pedicures at a fraction of the cost!

I am playing along with a few challenges with this card:

Of course, if you are like me... gardening takes its toll on your hands!  Our newly formulated Nourish hand cream now contains Argan and Hemp seed oils... and has been out of stock many times because it is truly amazing!  No more gardeners hands... no more dry skin... your hands will feel silky smooth.

Of course if you are in a springy mood... we have a great assortment of wraps and lacquers for you!

Macaron Monday...

What is Macaron Monday?

Well to be honest... something I made up but wouldn't it be great to have macarons every Monday?  I was browsing Pinterest one day and these gorgeous macarons kept popping up.  So much so that I created a Pinterest board for them.  Yep, true story!

I decided to start a Macaron Monday and create something each week that was inspired by macarons...

The first one... I'm sure you can guess why I chose this one...

I created a little gift for hubby.  You know.. a just because kind of gift.  The little box will be filled with some chocolates even though he claims he doesn't like sweets... but they do seem to disappear.

I used some Citrus Bliss paper by Pink Paislee for the pattern paper.  I cut out the Lucky Me sentiment with my Silhouette.   I then decided to put my Sealed with a Love bundle from Stampin' UP! to use - nothing wrong with a green kiss right?  I die cut the little envelope hanging on the card with the Love Notes Framelits, then added a shamrock and a stamped sentiment.  The box was created using the Baker's Box Thinlits die by Stampin' UP! I stitched on the pattern paper before assembling the box.

The Kissme Sentiment is from SRM Stickers and the gold arrow and heart are from the Hello Lovely Compliments by Close to My Heart. And of course for me... always a touch of twine is needed :)

Now I couldn't leave without sharing some more green and St. Patrick's Day inspiration... will you be pinch proof?  Click on photos for more information.
