The Season of Giving....

As Christmas approaches, I find myself reflecting on one of my favorite

aspects of this  time of year – the joy of giving.

There's something truly special about finding the perfect gift for someone you care about. The process, from brainstorming ideas to carefully selecting each item, fills my heart with warmth and excitement. I wanted to share a little story with you about my love for giving.

Picture this: a cozy winter evening, soft holiday tunes playing in the background, and a steaming cup of hot cocoa in hand. It's the perfect setting to dive into the world of Christmas gift-giving. As I start my journey, the anticipation of making everyone smile with thoughtful presents is like a holiday magic all its own.

One of my favorite traditions is creating themed gift baskets. There's an art to curating a collection of items that perfectly align with a person's interests and passions. Last year, for instance, I put together a "Cozy Night In" basket for a friend who loves relaxation and self-care. It included a plush blanket (plaid of course), some Scentsy, a Christmas mug, and a selection of gourmet hot chocolate – a little escape wrapped in a bow.

But it's not just about the grand gestures; even the smallest tokens can carry immense meaning. Stocking stuffers, in particular, are a delightful way to show that I've been thinking about someone in the little moments. Tiny treasures, carefully chosen, can bring unexpected joy and laughter.

There's an indescribable satisfaction that comes with finding the perfect gift, watching the recipient's face light up, and knowing that you've made a small

but meaningful difference in their day.

You may or may not know that I  love  hiking and how it has not only kept me physically fit but also provided a sanctuary for my mind and soul. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, you'll understand the magic of the great outdoors.

For me, hiking is not just a hobby; it's a way of life. The serenity of the forest, the rustling of leaves beneath my boots, and the crisp scent of the evergreens in the air provides a sense of peace and rejuvenation that's hard to find anywhere else. It's where I go to regroup, to find my balance, and to rediscover my connection with nature.

As John Muir once wisely said,

"In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks."

1. Hiking shoes/boots - I prefer Merrell’s but a gift certificate to a specialty shoe/boot store would always be appreciated.

2. Light n Tight leggings - the offer muscle and joint support, are breathable, sweat wicking and dry quickly. The pockets come in hand for holding a phone or even bear spray.

1. Socks. Any hiker would love to get a fun pair of good quality wool or performance socks. Cotton is not a good choice as it is not sweatwicking and stays wet.

2. Water bottle - I personally prefer stainless steel ones that keep water cold and a simple screw top lid - too many mechanisms provide areas for mould to grow.
