Embracing Navy

It’s National Navy Day which  has me reminiscing about my evolving relationship with the color navy. It's a hue that has come full circle in my life, from being associated with "old lady" fashion to becoming an essential part of my wardrobe.

During my teenage and young adult years, I never wore navy. Why? Because my mom seemed to wear it constantly. To me, it was the epitome of "old lady color." I was determined to stay far away from anything that an old lady might wear.

Fast forward to today and here I am with a closet full of it. . The color navy has shifted from being "out of style" to a timeless classic. It turns out, navy has always been a sophisticated and versatile color choice, and I just needed to grow into an appreciation of its understated elegance.

So, here I am, rocking navy outfits with pride. Whether it's the stylish Cargo Peak Joggers, a classic pair of navy Everywhere Pants, or a pair of navy leggings, I've come to love how navy can effortlessly elevate any look.  But the question remains,  "Have I become an old lady or is navy an on trend color?” The color I once avoided like the plague has become a staple in my closet, and I couldn't be happier about it.
